But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, GuestCompanionFriend, go up higher: then shalt thou have respectworshiphonor in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee. For whosoever liftselevatesexalteth himself shall be humbledabasedlowered; and he that humblethsubmitslowers himself shall be exaltedelevatedhonored. Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinnerfeastbanquet or a supper, call not thy friendscompanionsassociates, nor thy relativesbrethrenbrothers, neither thy familykindredkinsmen, nor thy wealthyrichaffluent neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a rewardrepaymentrecompence be made thee. But when thou makest a feast, call the needydestitutepoor, the disabledmaimedinjured, the weaklamecrippled, the sightlessblindvisionless: And thou shalt be blessedhonoredrewarded; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the awakeningreturnresurrection of the just.
