Commentary

Before Jehoshaphat, there had been kings such as Rehoboam, Abijah, and Asa, making him the fourth in succession. Jehoshaphat was thirty-five years of age when he began to rule in Jerusalem. And he ruled for twenty-five years. He died at the age of sixty of natural causes.
