Hear another parable: There was a certain proprietorhouseholderlandowner, which cultivatedplantedestablished a orchardvineyardgarden, and enclosedhedgedfenced it round about, and holloweddiggedexcavated a vatbasinwinepress in it, and erectedbuiltconstructed a structurewatchtowertower, and letleasedrented it out to tenantshusbandmenfarmers, and went into a far country: And when the timeseasonperiod of the harvestproducefruit drew near, he sent his servantsworkersemployees to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it. And the husbandmen took his servants, and struckbeatthrashed one, and killedslewmurdered another, and peltedassaultedstoned another. Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise. But last of all he sent unto them his heirsonoffspring, saying, They will respecthonorreverence my son. But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heirsuccessorinheritor; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his legacybirthrightinheritance. And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him. When the ownermasterlord therefore of the vineyard cometharrivesreturns, what will he do unto those husbandmen? They say unto him, He will ruthlesslywretchedlymiserably destroy those wickedevilmalicious men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall rendergiveprovide him the fruits in their periodsseasonstimes. Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never examinereadstudy in the scriptures, The stonecornerstonerock which the constructorsarchitectsbuilders rejected, the same is become the chiefheadpinnacle of the corner: this is the Lord's workdoingdeed, and it is astonishingmarvellouswondrous in our eyes? Therefore say I unto you, The kingdomdomainrealm of God shall be takenwithdrawnremoved from you, and given to a communitypeoplenation bringing forth the fruits thereof. And whosoever shall falltripstumble on this stone shall be fracturedbrokenshattered: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will crushgrindpulverize him to powder. And when the chief clergyreligious leaderspriests and authoritieseldersPharisees had heard his parables, they perceivedrealizedunderstood that he spake of them.
