Hear another parable: There was a certain proprietorhouseholderlandowner, which plantedestablishedcultivated a orchardgardenvineyard, and fencedenclosedhedged it round about, and excavateddiggedhollowed a vatbasinwinepress in it, and erectedconstructedbuilt a structurewatchtowertower, and leasedrentedlet it out to farmershusbandmentenants, and went into a far country: And when the seasonperiodtime of the fruitproduceharvest drew near, he sent his employeesworkersservants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it. And the husbandmen took his servants, and beatthrashedstruck one, and murderedkilledslew another, and assaultedpeltedstoned another. Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise. But last of all he sent unto them his offspringsonheir, saying, They will respectreverencehonor my son. But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the inheritorheirsuccessor; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his legacybirthrightinheritance. And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him. When the ownermasterlord therefore of the vineyard returnscometharrives, what will he do unto those husbandmen? They say unto him, He will wretchedlymiserablyruthlessly destroy those evilmaliciouswicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall giveproviderender him the fruits in their seasonsperiodstimes. Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never studyexamineread in the scriptures, The rockcornerstonestone which the buildersconstructorsarchitects rejected, the same is become the chiefheadpinnacle of the corner: this is the Lord's doingworkdeed, and it is wondrousmarvellousastonishing in our eyes? Therefore say I unto you, The domainkingdomrealm of God shall be removedwithdrawntaken from you, and given to a communitypeoplenation bringing forth the fruits thereof. And whosoever shall tripfallstumble on this stone shall be brokenfracturedshattered: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grindpulverizecrush him to powder. And when the chief religious leaderspriestsclergy and Phariseesauthoritieselders had heard his parables, they understoodrealizedperceived that he spake of them.
