What does Mark 4:24-25 mean?

24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. 25 For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath. (Mark 4:24-25 KJV)

He who has receives more

The argument that our Savior uses to encourage his disciples to share the knowledge and use the grace they have received for the good of others: “To him who has, more will be given.” In other words, those who use their spiritual gifts will find them increased, while those who neglect them will lose even what they have (Mark 4:25).

If we are faithful to God, He will be faithful to us. If we use the knowledge we have for God’s glory and others’ benefit, it will grow. Gifts and graces increase by being used, and God has promised to bless diligent hands.

But if we don’t use what we have, we lose it. The one who does no good with what he has—who has it in vain—will lose even that. Burying a talent is betraying a trust, and unused gifts will fade away.

Learn from this that the best way to grow in grace is to actively use and improve it. The person who hides their talent not only forfeits it but is also in danger of being severely judged for failing to use it.
