And the husbandmen took his servants, and struckbeatthrashed one, and murderedkilledslew another, and peltedstonedassaulted another. Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise. But last of all he sent unto them his heirsonoffspring, saying, They will honorrespectreverence my son. But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the successorheirinheritor; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritancelegacybirthright. And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him. When the ownermasterlord therefore of the vineyard returnsarrivescometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen? They say unto him, He will ruthlesslywretchedlymiserably destroy those maliciousevilwicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall providerendergive him the fruits in their periodstimesseasons. Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never studyreadexamine in the scriptures, The stonecornerstonerock which the constructorsbuildersarchitects rejected, the same is become the chiefpinnaclehead of the corner: this is the Lord's doingworkdeed, and it is wondrousmarvellousastonishing in our eyes? Therefore say I unto you, The kingdomdomainrealm of God shall be removedwithdrawntaken from you, and given to a communitypeoplenation bringing forth the fruits thereof. And whosoever shall tripstumblefall on this stone shall be shatteredfracturedbroken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grindcrushpulverize him to powder. And when the chief clergyreligious leaderspriests and authoritieseldersPharisees had heard his parables, they understoodperceivedrealized that he spake of them.
