Hear another parable: There was a certain landownerproprietorhouseholder, which establishedcultivatedplanted a vineyardgardenorchard, and fencedhedgedenclosed it round about, and diggedhollowedexcavated a vatwinepressbasin in it, and constructedbuilterected a structuretowerwatchtower, and rentedleasedlet it out to farmershusbandmentenants, and went into a far country: And when the seasontimeperiod of the fruitproduceharvest drew near, he sent his servantsemployeesworkers to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it. And the husbandmen took his servants, and beatthrashedstruck one, and slewmurderedkilled another, and stonedpeltedassaulted another. Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise. But last of all he sent unto them his heirsonoffspring, saying, They will respecthonorreverence my son. But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the successorheirinheritor; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his legacybirthrightinheritance. And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him. When the lordmasterowner therefore of the vineyard cometharrivesreturns, what will he do unto those husbandmen? They say unto him, He will wretchedlyruthlesslymiserably destroy those evilmaliciouswicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall providerendergive him the fruits in their periodstimesseasons. Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never studyexamineread in the scriptures, The rockcornerstonestone which the buildersconstructorsarchitects rejected, the same is become the pinnacleheadchief of the corner: this is the Lord's workdeeddoing, and it is marvellouswondrousastonishing in our eyes? Therefore say I unto you, The kingdomrealmdomain of God shall be takenremovedwithdrawn from you, and given to a nationpeoplecommunity bringing forth the fruits thereof. And whosoever shall stumbletripfall on this stone shall be fracturedshatteredbroken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will pulverizecrushgrind him to powder. And when the chief clergypriestsreligious leaders and Phariseesauthoritieselders had heard his parables, they perceivedrealizedunderstood that he spake of them.
