Patrick/Lowth/Whitby/Lowman Commentary

Five and twenty years old was he when he began to reign, Alone by himself; for he reigned some time with his father during his leprosy (see Dr. Lightfoot in his Prolegom. to the Harm. of the Evang. sect. 6).

His mother’s name was Jerusha, the daughter of Zadok. It is not said of what place, as is usual: this Zadok being so well known, that there was no need to set down his dwelling.
